Questions & answers
What is LeapFrog?
LeapFrog helps you see your listening comprehension improve over time. You save something you can barely follow today, like a video or a clip, keep watching and listening over the weeks, then come back to the same thing later and notice how much more you understand. That moment, when you realize you’ve improved, is the whole point.
Is it free?
Yes. LeapFrog is free to use, and nothing is locked behind a paywall.
Do I need a password?
No. You sign in with your email and we send you a one-time link. Once you’re in, you stay signed in, so day to day you can just open the app and start. No password to remember or reset.
How often should I revisit a video?
Not often, and never on a schedule you have to keep. Comprehension builds slowly over many hours of input, so LeapFrog suggests a check-in date that’s comfortably far out and reminds you when it arrives. There are no streaks and no pressure. You can always revisit sooner or later.
Can I track more than one language?
Yes. Each video you save carries its own language, and once you’re tracking more than one, a simple toggle lets you switch between them in your library and your progress.
Does it have to be a YouTube video?
YouTube is the easiest, since it plays right inside LeapFrog. But you can also save anything else you listen to, like a show, a podcast, or a book, by adding a screenshot and a name so you recognize it later.
What are snapshots for?
Progress on a single video can take weeks to show. A snapshot captures where you are right now, what feels difficult, how much you follow, so that later you can look back and feel how much has changed. It keeps the practice present without turning it into a chore.
Can I delete my data?
Anytime. Settings has a “Start over” option that erases everything you’ve saved, and a “Delete my account” option that removes your account entirely.
